Your Monday Morning Daft Punk
While my DJ, super ex-gf, Jen Woolfe, might not be pleased to hear this: I am by no means a techno-head. I know nothing about it, save for my private collection of Jen Woolfe mix CDs and an occassional St. Germain spin.
My apologies if they are not "officially" techno; but a little Daft Punk can make me happy as hell. The pay off on "Technologic" is at 0:47. The perfect date happens beneath a 1:30 a.m. moon with my stereo headphones.

Yay! I actually have this track on Vinyl. Peaches did a remix of it, its hot.
Daft Punk is actually 'House'. Its one of the earliest House bands and is a great cross-over from Popular music into Electronic. I don't like the term 'Techno' used as an all-encompassing term bc Techno is actually a subgenre, or style, just like House. A more accurate term is 'Electronic'. I'm excited that Wikipedia now has definitions of House and Techno and other genres bc there are so many out there! One like me can never get bored.
If you like Daft Punk, also try LCD Soundsystem. They are punk rock electro house and more. If you can, go see them live. Their show has the energy of a DJ show but is all live music.
